I had not been to ValuVet Newark since we had to put our 14 year old pup, Bella, down in August of last year. Stephanie INSTANTLY remembered me and my name when I came in this last April to schedule for our new puppy, Tony. Dr. Roberts and Hannah were also extremely kind and helpful with our puppy s first appointment!

Staff are kind & courteous and my pets have gotten their needs taken care of each time. I do like the staff profiles and personalization that is being made with pics and fun animal signs to make it feel more warm and welcoming. Feedback: 1. Would like to see the rooms fully enclosed and sturdier doors. Very distracting to listen to other room conversations on top of listening to very sensitive information. I would imagine this would be extremely hard for some pet owners knowing that everyone is listening. 2. While I know the goal is to be warm and friendly, staff calling pet owners “sweetie, honey, and other terms of endearment is almost patronizing. Calling someone by their name is best practice and more professional. 3. Since the rooms aren’t fully enclosed, staff need to recognize how their voices carry throughout the space. I was there while one staff member was talking so loudly in another room, I couldn’t hear my own vet tech. 4. I’ve met Dr Roberts on numerous occasions due to bringing a few of my animals there and every time she introduces herself. I know she is just doing her job to make us aware of who she is, but maybe a take a look at our chart first…that way she can get some idea of a return pet owner versus brand new? Just my 4 cents…no deal breakers, but hope this helps to provide solid feedback for an even better vet office!
